Don Melrose – Managing Director

Don has over 40 years experience in the meat industry. His experience extends from working in butcher shops along side his father as a boy, to the Cannon Hill abattoirs, then on to sales rep for meat trading companies. His experience and knowledge of the meat industry is invaluable. In 1987 Don founded Ambrosia Commodities and has seen it grow into the successful business it is today.

Grant Melrose – Sales & Purchasing Manager

Grant has been with Ambrosia since 1992, learning all aspects of the business starting as storeman and now as sales manager. This experience in working all levels of the industry provides Grant with a thorough understanding of the supply chain as well as an intimate knowledge of the characters of the Australian meat industry. Grant has considerable travel experience and an easy going nature making him a great communicater with all levels within the industry. Grant handles all the purchasing for Ambrosia Commodities along with all enquiries regarding Certified Organic meats.

Gene McMillan – Sales

Gene “Mac” McMillan has been invloved in the meat industry for over 40 years. His experience and knowledge of the industry is well know within the community. He started his career butchering in Killarney which led him to eventually being the owner/operator of the Killarney Butchery. He then moved on to continue his career with Killarney Abattoir. Mac started as a sales rep with Ambrosia Commodities in 1991. Please contact Mac for all Queensland and Northern NSW sales enquires.
